Learning to Persevere with the Kumon Program

The Kumon Program is founded on the idea that all children have the potential to achieve success. As Toru Kumon said, “It is our duty as educators to encourage each child to want to learn, to enjoy learning, and to be capable of studying whatever he or she may need to or wish to learn in the future.” This World Autism Day, as we join the world in celebrating the achievements of autistic children and adults around the world, we would like to share the successes of Valerie, an autistic completer of the Kumon Reading Program, as she discusses how the Kumon Program can help students persevere through obstacles.
